JUMP Basketball Australia partners with GameDay to power its junior competitions.
South West Sydney junior basketball academy moves its competitions, live scoring and family communications onto the GameDay platform.
SYDNEY, 23 October 2026 – JUMP Basketball Australia has partnered with GameDay, the global sport technology platform, to run its junior basketball competitions across South West Sydney.
Competitive basketball in New South Wales starts at under-12s. JUMP’s competitions sit below that line, which is the point: a seven-year-old at Edmondson Park gets what the older kids get. A fixture. A result. A ladder with their team on it. Their own name next to a stat.
The academy was started by parents who wanted somewhere their own children could learn the game properly, and it has grown into skills classes, social competitions and an academy program for players aged 4 to 16 across Edmondson Park and Middleton Grange. What grew with it was the paperwork. Someone has to build the draw, chase the scores, update the ladder and tell every family where to be on Saturday, and at JUMP that someone was usually a coach.
Now JUMP’s team or parents score games courtside on a tablet using GameDay’s Courtside app, and the results feed straight through to fixtures, ladders and player statistics. Families follow their team through the GameDay app.
“We’ve recently started using GameDay, and honestly, it’s made our competition so much easier to manage. The biggest thing for us is how simple and intuitive it is. Our team or parents can use Courtside to score the games, and everything flows straight through to the fixtures, results, stats and ladders. For a growing club like JUMP, the admin can become a massive job. GameDay has taken a lot of that workload away, which means we can spend more time doing what we actually love, coaching, developing players and growing our basketball community. Our families now have a much clearer view of their team and competition.”
– Tim Stabbe, Co-Founder and Head Coach, JUMP Basketball Australia
“When Tim and I first spoke, JUMP were scoring every game on paper and entering each result by hand afterwards. We had them live within a week. Tim and Melissa have built something great, and it’s been a pleasure working with them.”
– Cameron Blitsas, Sales Account Executive, GameDay
