GameDay is truly honoured to once again be supporting the Tania Dalton Foundation with ticketing services and donations for their annual TDF Gala Dinner.    The Tania Dalton Foundation has been instrumental in supporting young female athletes to reach Epic Potential since the untimely passing of Tania in 2017. Every year, the Gala dinner raises an incredible amount of money to support the continuation of the scholarships and programs that TDF delivers to female athletes and school programs nationally. The 2023 Gala Dinner will be held on August 31 in the Great Room at the Cordis Hotel in Auckland. How GameDay supported the 35th Australian Sikh Games

The 35th edition of the Australian Sikh Games recently took place in Brisbane.  The Australian Sikh Games are the premier sporting and cultural event for the Australian Sikh community. They are held every year in capital cities and major regional areas around Australia.  Athletes and spectators from all over the country and overseas - including New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Canada and the UK - come to participate in a wide array of traditional Indian and Australian sports and cultural events. The Games draw crowds of up to 100,000 people over three days, during which time over 3,500 athletes compete across 14 different sporting disciplines. A wide-ranging selection of sports feature within the Games, including kabaddi, netball, basketball and soccer, amongst others. GameDay supports Concussion Guidance for Grassroots Sport

GameDay fully supports for introduction of concussion guidelines for grassroots sport, which have recently been published by the UK Government and the Sport and Recreation Alliance . The guidelines deliver on a government commitment to establish a single set of shared, UK-wide concussion guidelines for the immediate management of concussion, followed by the gradual return to activity (education/work) and, ultimately, sport. Participants in grassroots sports will be better protected from the potentially devastating effects of head injuries and concussion thanks to the recently-announced official guidelines. The guidelines, developed by an expert panel of domestic and international clinicians and academics in neurology and sports medicine, set out steps to improve understanding and awareness of the prevention and treatment of concussion in grassroots sport where trained medical professionals are less likely to be routinely present.  It is designed to target people of all ages, and playe

Guernsey sells for $16,000 in GameDay-powered auction

A signed, match-worn Collingwood player guernsey has sold for over $16,000 in their latest online auction.  AFL star Nick Daicos' guernsey is one of 44 to have been auctioned off on the GameDay-powered platform, with profits from the sale of their ANZAC Day guernseys donated to the RSL's ANZAC appeal. The ANZAC Day fixture between Collingwood and Essendon has become a significant part of ANZAC Day itself and represents an important part of the way Australian's honour our ANZAC history. Collingwood wore a special ANZAC guernsey to mark the occasion, and the auction helped raised over $77,000 in total, through the sale of 45 pieces of memorabilia.  This included 44 guernseys and one pair of special ANZAC boots worn and signed by Jack Crisp.  Why choose GameDay auctions?
