Australian Oztag brings the whole sport onto GameDay Passport ahead of Tag World Cup 2026
Australian Oztag now runs its memberships, competitions and registrations nationwide on GameDay Passport, and GameDay is building a custom app for the Tag World Cup 2026 in Coffs Harbour.
AUSTRALIA – Australian Oztag has moved the entire sport onto the GameDay Passport platform, from local social comps to the national championships.
The move follows GameDay’s launch of the new oztag.com.au in July. Oztag has 496,000+ players across 240+ competitions, with 40% female participation.
One platform for the whole sport
Passport now handles registrations and online payments at national, state and competition level, along with draws, fixtures, ladders and results for every competition. Players and families do it all in one place, including through the all-new GameDay App. Administrators and state bodies work from the same data instead of separate systems, and results flow straight onto oztag.com.au without being entered twice.
A custom app for the Tag World Cup 2026
GameDay is building a custom app for the International Tag Federation Tag World Cup 2026 (TWC26), hosted by Australian Oztag in Coffs Harbour, NSW, from 15 to 18 October.
Around 200 teams from 32 nations are expected, a total of 4,500 players and officials, with crowds of around 15,000 forecast across the C.ex Coffs International Stadium precinct.
The official TWC26 app gives players, officials and fans the full tournament on their phones. Every draw, result, ladder and player stat is available for each World Cup competition, and users can browse by age level or team. Matches scored live appear on the Home tab, with scores updating as play goes on.
Fans pick the nation they’re supporting when they sign up. That nation’s teams and fixtures then appear on their home screen, alongside today’s games and the full tournament schedule. Match alerts keepthem across the teams they follow, and organisers can send announcements to everyone at the tournament.
The app also replaces paper tickets. Each attendee gets a personal digital event pass with a QR code, which event staff scan at the gate using the same app. Sign-in uses a code sent by email, and players’ profiles are linked automatically.
Each tournament day, the app streams the Field 1 broadcast from C.ex Coffs International Stadium, including all three Opens finals. The Digital Program, covering teams, schedule, venues and event information, is one tap from the home screen.
The app is built in official TWC colours and typography, with a highlights video intro and light and dark modes. Every ad slot features the event’s destination partner, Destination NSW, and no third-party ads are shown. It runs on the same Passport data Oztag uses every week, so tournament information stays accurate throughout the event.

Building on a growing partnership
“Bringing the whole sport onto Passport is a big step for Oztag. Our players, clubs and state bodies now work from one system, and our members get a simpler experience from registration through to game day. Now that same technology will carry us into the Tag World Cup in Coffs Harbour, and we’re proud to show it to the world.”
Chris Cowan – Australian Oztag Director and Chairman ITF
“Oztag started with us on a new website, and today the entire sport runs on Passport. That’s the kind of partnership we set out to build: one connected platform for memberships, competitions, websites and apps. Delivering a custom app for the Tag World Cup shows what that platform can do on an international stage, and we look forward to seeing players and fans use it in Coffs Harbour at the TWC26.”
Daniel Smith – GameDay CEO
