In Focus: Perth Wildcats launch new app integrated with GameDay Fan Membership

By Published On: April 19, 2022Categories: Case Study, In Focus

GameDay has worked closely with Perth Wildcats to integrate the Wildcats’ member data, powered by our Fan Membership platform, with their new app.

We have worked in conjunction with the Wildcats to scope the integration, which has successfully been released to Perth Wildcats members.

Using an API integration from GameDay’s membership platform to the new Perth Wildcats mobile app, the project aims to give the team’s members an intuitive and seamless matchday experience using a mobile membership pass to quickly and easily scan into matches.

More about the app

Launched in November, the history-making app is available to download through the App Store and Google Play. The official app of the Perth Wildcats is a one-stop destination for inside access to the 10-time NBL Champions.

Users can get the latest news and video direct to their phone, while getting to know the full playing squad.

The app helps users keep on top of upcoming games as well as where to tune in, and how to get their hands on tickets to the best show in town. Via the integrated membership tab, members can easily access their membership card, and use this to access home games.

The app will allow for fans to experience game days like never before, with exclusive offers from club partners and exciting fan engagement opportunities.

Rory Stewart, GameDay sport specialist, said: “This is a really exciting integration and an important step in the evolution of the match day experience in elite sport. We’re proud to work with Perth Wildcats to further enhance the digital experience of their membership base, particularly in the ever-changing landscape of live sport and the responsibility we all share to create a safe and smooth attendance process.”

Natalie Stawell Wilson, Perth Wildcats membership & ticketing manager, said: “Working with the GameDay team on this integration has been an extremely smooth experience and a pleasure to work with. GameDay were always easily contactable and willing to look into ideas and expand on our learnings along the way.

“The improved matchday experience has been appreciated by our members, and has made attending games significantly easier for our members with the integration with GameDay for our app. We look forward to continuing to work with GameDay and the team on future enhancements.”

Perth Wildcats have utilised GameDay for its fan membership management for the last six years, in a partnership that has enabled year-on-year membership registration and renewal for members of the club, as well as a website and eCommerce platforms which has given fans an all-encompassing digital experience through which to engage with the club.
