Product Feature: GameDay launches Duplicate Management feature powered by Machine Learning for Membership & Events

By Published On: May 30, 2025Categories: Latest News, Product Feature

GameDay is excited to announce the release of its new Duplicate Management feature – now available to all GameDay Membership & Events customers. This feature harnesses the power of machine learning and smart technology to automatically prevent duplicates and also identify duplicate member profiles within an organisation and across the hierarchy, allowing for easy management of potential duplicate profiles.

Designed to simplify data management for sporting bodies and administrators, the Duplicate Management feature uses smart matching algorithms to identify profiles with similar or identical information along with machine learning to improve accuracy over time – using a combination of name, DOB, gender, email, phone and address. If duplicates are not automatically resolved, where potential duplicates are identified, admins can quickly review and merge duplicates through an intuitive interface or choose to keep certain profiles if they are not to be merged.

“We know how important quality data is for our customers. Our new Duplicate Management feature uses leading technology to streamline the way organisations maintain their membership records,” said Mark Pititto, GameDay’s Director of Product. “This is just one of many ways we’re investing in smart, automated technology to help users save time and improve data integrity.”

For those seeking greater control and flexibility, the Duplicate Management feature offers a more detailed view of potential matches allowing comparison of key member profile data. Administrators can choose which member profile to use as the primary record, while also excluding specific profiles from being merged. This added layer of precision gives organisations the confidence to make informed decisions when consolidating member profiles, ensuring their membership database remains accurate and reliable.

Duplicate Management

When member profiles are merged, key member profile data from the primary record is retained and supplementary data from all member profiles is consolidated across member and event registration history, orders, transactions, documents, notes and accreditations.

This enhancement is part of GameDay’s broader mission to deliver automated, intelligent, and user-friendly solutions for sport and event administrators at all levels.
