Customer Notification: POLi Payments for Australian customers to cease
Australia Post have made the difficult decision to close the POLi Australian business. This will mean GameDay can no longer offer POLi as a payment option via GameDay Passport for Australian customers from September 2023 onwards.
POLi will still remain available via GameDay Passport for New Zealand-based customers.
GameDay is reviewing alternative solutions to support account-to-account transactions and will provide further updates when these options will become available in the near future.

We have made the difficult decision to close the POLi Australian business. We want to sincerely thank you for your support and understanding as we wind down operations.
POLi has been in business for over 17 years and during this time has been a leading Account-to-Account solution providing a fast and cost-efficient way for merchants to receive funds and for customers to pay.
While the New Payments Platform (NPP) provides an exciting frontier for payments and we were very proud to launch our POLi PAYID solution last year, sadly POLi is unable to effectively compete given the significant ongoing investment required to keep up with fast-paced innovation funded by large banks, multi-nationals and a venture capital/private equity backed industry.
Globally, fraud and scams have increased and are becoming more sophisticated. To prevent financial crimes, institutions have adopted new software that is incompatible with traditional POLi vectors.
Last year, two major banks stopped accepting the POLi vector and we were recently advised that a third will no longer accept POLi vector payments from mid July 2023.
Based on the declining acceptance of POLi in Australia, it is no longer financially viable, and we will wind up operations by 30 September 2023, closing the Australian business. Until that time, we will continue to support you as we would normally.
