GameDay attend 2022 Fit for the Future Convention
Recently, members of GameDay’s EMEA team were delighted to attend the Sports and Recreation Alliance’s latest Fit for the Future Convention.
The event took place at Millennium Point in Birmingham and was attended by a range of guest speakers and other experts from the sports and technology sector.
The Sport and Recreation Alliance act as the voice of the sector in the UK with government, policy-makers and media, representing hundreds of national governing bodies, active partnerships and sports charities, with GameDay having now been an associate member for over two years.
The Fit for the Future Convention is the SRA's annual learning and training event for the sector, themed annually to relate to one of the most pressing sector challenges.
Having supported last year's convention - Stronger Together - by delivering a breakout session on ‘using data to track & understand equality and participation, this year we were delighted to provide our sector-leading event management and ticketing technology for the FFFC’s ‘Embracing Technology’ event.
The day was a huge success, with many delegates returning to an in-person conference for the first time since before the Covid-19 Pandemic.
The keynotes were fascinating presentations, covering everything from embracing and investing in digital technology to creating a long-term digital strategy.
Most importantly, however, it was a great chance to meet with colleagues and friends face-to-face to discuss work, partnerships and developments from across the sector.
