The GameDay Wrap: January 2022
Each month, we will bring you a round-up of the latest news and updates in our GameDay Wrap.
Here’s a closer look at some of January’s big stories…
Last season, the Bees were promoted to the English top flight for the first time since the 1946-47 season.
In an effort to share the club’s history with their fans, a ‘Farewell Griffin Park’ initiative will see everything from alcohol and toilet signs to their former stadium’s bar menus and pitchside lettering made available for purchase by supporters.
A range of more traditional merchandise, including match-worn shirts and worn training kits, are also available here.
Golden Oldies Rugby Festival to return next year
Recently, it was announced that the Golden Oldies Rugby Festival will return in 2023.
The event will take place in Perth, Western Australia, from 19-26 March.
Speaking about the news, Golden Oldies owner Bruce Mactaggart said: “Rugby is synonymous with Australia and New Zealand, it’s a real pleasure to be able to kickstart the future of our rugby festivals ‘Down Under’.
“Perth has a great sports park (Langley Park) and world class tourism experiences, so we expect to see teams from all around the world join us for an unforgettable week of rugby and fun.”
We are proudly supporting the rugby festival by providing its registration platform.
Team registrations are now being accepted, and you can save 5% when you register now and pay in full before 28 February 2022.
We would like to wish our friends at GB Snowsport a huge good luck ahead of the upcoming Winter Olympics in Beijing, taking place from February 4-20.
Prior to the Games, they have also enjoyed recent success on the slopes, with British skier Dave Ryding winning Britain's first ever Alpine Skiing World Cup gold medal last weekend.
We are proud to provide a membership and events solution to GB Snowsport.
